Papua New Guinea Plantation Peaberry

TIP: You can save products to your favorites list if you log in Papua New Guinea, a huge Indonesian island of vast diversity, has been a unique coffee powerhouse for just less than a century…large plantations began in the mid-1920s with Jamaica Blue Mountain stocks. These days Bourbon and Typica varietals rule the roost, and the rugged mountains of Highland Chimbu Province are the source of our Plantation Peaberry. It is sourced from smallholder farmers organized around the Siane Organic Agriculture Cooperative (SOAC) located in the Chuave district. Grown at 1350 meters, this fully washed, sun-dried “baby bean” packs a flavor punch of grilled pineapple, lemon zest and peach tea, with nice body and a rich, sweet finish. Nice espresso as well as traditional drip methods.
